Located between Oporto and Coimbra, it’s inhabited by roughly 80 000 inhabitants, with an area of almost 200km2.
The river that bathes the city, its salt ponds and beaches are proof of its unique beauty. Santa Joana Museum, the Aveirense Theatre and, of course, the University of Aveiro place the city at the forefront of culture and education, along with a business fabric in constant growth.
City lovers delight themselves with the local delicacies (ovos moles being the most popular), its beautiful buildings (like the Arte Nova ones, or the Fórum Aveiro mall) or simply with the lovely atmosphere that surrounds it.
