São Jacinto Dunes Beach is located on the Natural Reserve of the São Jacinto Dunes. This protected area is about 600 hectares wide, it as created in 1979 and is inserted in the Special Protection Zone of the Aveiro River. The reserve was created with the main goal of protecting the dunes' ecosystem.
Its an isolated beach, virtually untouched. It has a very wide sand area, about 3,8km.
